People are often asking what are the wind seasons here. Cabarete is fortunate to boast over 250 windy days a year on average, which is part of what makes it the kitesurfing capical of the Caribbean. We are fortunate to have 2 wind sources – thermal winds and storm fronts. If the weather is hot enough, then we get a thermal wind. If there is a storm front, then we get storm wind. Here are some general guidelines to the weather during the seasons.
The best course of action in Cabarete is to enojoy more than one of Cabarete`s multiple sports. There’s so much to do in Cabarete, that you can never be board if you don’t want to be.
